The Norwich Common Council took up the question of limiting new smoke shop openings in the city’s Business Improvement District — a policy conversation directly connected to the coalition’s advocacy work around retail tobacco and nicotine access. The PULSE Coalition partnered with The Place to bring back Safe Summer Fun Day at Kurt Beyer Park in Norwich — a free community event connecting Chenango County families with local resources, activities, and support organizations. With more than 35 local agencies and businesses in attendance, the event reflected the kind of cross-sector collaboration that defines our approach to youth safety and substance abuse prevention in Chenango County.
